Achievements

Research: Since 2014, Excel in Development delivered high quality research assignments to its 07 clients. Thematic areas of the reaserch were Governance, Gender in Development, Child Protection and Minority Rights with the geographical spread of Sindh and Balouchistan. The clients were Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP), PAHEL, COASTAL ASSOCIATION FORESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT – (CARD), Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO), DevCon- An association for Rural Development, Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRPO) and Indus Craft Foundation, and donors were Citizen Voice- USAID, Gender Equity Progarmme (GEP)- USAID,The Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) and Save the Children. Situational Analysis, Baseline Survey and Budget Tracking were the sub themes of the Research. Excel built the capacity of the clients by engaging their staff in research activities.

Programme Development: Excel in Development has also   supported 06 organizations in Programme Development such as Saath Development Society, Mehran Education Society (MES), Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP), Karwan Development Foundation Islamabad and Sindhi Doctors Association (UK) and Association for Water Applied Education & Renewable Energy- AWARE. The tool of programme development was Strategic planning as well as Reserch based Programme Development.

Trainings: Excel in Development has joined hands with Pakistan Fisher Folk, Shadab Rural Development Organization (SRDO) and Asghria Education Society and Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) for capacity building of their communities as well as staff. EID successfully piloted local skills training model in District Thatto Sindh which was highly appreciated by the client as well as participants. The themes of training were Micro Finance, Advocacy and Watch, and Technical Trainings.01 Advocacy kit, and   06 training manuals were developed in Sindhi language. 120 participants were trained in technical skills, 25 in Advocacy Skills and 20 participants in Micro Finance.

Fund raising: Supporting in fund raising is challenging task, which is achieved for 08 organizations with worth of Rs 60 million because of dedication and commitment of the Excel team. This year, company has also maintained its success rate in proposal writing with the belief, “We write for win”.

Documentation: Excel supported Thardeep Rural Development (TRDP) in development of Annual Report 2012-2013 as well as Save the Children for documenting Rules of business of School Management Committees in the context of Act of Right to Education and STEP for conference reporting .
